@Adult Uhler: I did feel the film was inferior to the book, but I wouldn't go so far as to advise not to watch it. If they can and it doesn't set them back too much, then they should, in my way of thinking :) What made you say so?

@Fatima: Good luck! The books will probably affect you differently now that you're older than if you read it earlier on in life, but you should give it a whirl--they're not classics for nothing. :) I personally read the books from The Magician's Nephew onwards, but I suppose it doesn't matter all too much, unless you want things to follow the chronological order :)

Since I haven't seen the movie nor read the book (I've had the Chronicles of Narnia for ages but just never seem to have the time to start reading them), I only read the first few sentences...

I'm really looking forward to watching the movie so I *must* read the book ASAP.

I thought this film really did an injustice to the book. I would advise fans not watch it.

I watched it earlier and I haven't read the book (GASP! I KNOW!), so my expectations weren't that high. And I loved Edmund and Lucy, and I wanted to bonk Peter on the head for his ego. Susan was fiercer, and I felt really sad at the ending, where they had to go back. Ohwell.

The Susan-Caspian thing...no comment, really. Hehe.

Oh, and I will always love Aslan. The best part of the film for me was when he finally showed up. :D

the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story in some ways and strayed in others... i heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not the case

Yes, the love story they finagled in was rather painful to watch, especially the kiss. I can handle the "tension" but... yeah.

Warwick Davis was good :D

I am a Narnia fan, and I probably will watch the movie, so I appreciate the warning. Especially about the love interest between Susan and Caspian: ugh! OTOH, I can't wait to see Warwick Davis as Nikabrik!
